• Italy – Sicily 

With its amazing beaches, bays, and fascinating views, Sicily, Italy is one of the most popular summer vacation spots in Europe. You can choose to explore the whole country and plan a historical, adventurous, and informative family trip; or you can spend your time in Southern Italy enjoying the warm sea. 

If you choose Sicily like many families, remember to visit the main attractions like Taormina in the east coast, Etna Regional Park and the biggest active volcano in Europe Mount Etna, Syracuse and Ortigia Islands to see the amazing Greek influence, and the island’s capital city Palermo.

Since the whole city is mainly a summer vacation area, locals are familiar with tourists and extremely welcoming towards them. With the amazing Mediterranean Sea below your feet, you will forget all the stress of the year for sure!  

• Denmark 

Denmark is usually not the first place to come to mind when we think of summer vacations, but it is definitely one of the most kid-friendly countries in Europe. You can find great beaches everywhere since it’s the home of the Vikings and mostly an island nation, but remember that there is so much more to do in Denmark! If you’re flying to Copenhagen, first child-friendly attraction can be Tivoli Gardens in the city center, as it is one of the biggest amusement parks in Europe! 

You can also fly to Billund, another airport in the western part of the country with a lot of extremely affordable flights. The fun thing about Billund is that it is the home of LEGO! If you're around the west coast, make sure to spare one whole day and visit Lalandia in Søndervig, opening on June 9, 2022. It is one of the biggest water parks in Europe, and so much more! You can enjoy the countless amenities in the tropical holiday center with your family.
